Undergraduate

Introduction

The Ajou School of Business (ABIZ) originated from a business administration program within the Department of Industrial Management, the College of Engineering, in December 1977.

In 1981, the Department of Business Administration grew to the School of Business to coincide with the elevation of Ajou College to the state of university. Currently ABIZ has about 40 full-time faculty members, 1,250 students and 4 departments: Department of Business Administration, Department of e-Business, Department of Financial Engineering and Department of Global Business. The Department of e-Business and the Department of Financial Engineering were opened as the first programs of their kind in the nation to aim at the demands of the rapidly changing times.

Also, the ASB offers competitive Master’s and Ph.D. programs including an MBA program which is one of the biggest MBA programs in the nation. Despite its relatively short history, ABIZ has made a rapid growth both in education and research. ABIZ was selected by the Ministry of Education as a participant in the World Class University(WCU) Project in Financial Engineering in 2009. The Department of Business Administration was selected by the Ministry of Education as a participant in the Creative Korea (CK) II Project in Internationalization in 2014. ABIZ received accreditation from the Korean Association of Business Education Accreditation (KABEA) in 2009, and EPAS accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) in 2016.
